SOS Children’s Villages Latvia are celebrating 25th anniversary this year
Even more children have received support and love of SOS families for shorter periods of time. The lives of children growing up in SOS families are very colourful and different from each other – they are full of achievements and challenges. Carpenters and electricians, teachers and entrepreneurs, talented athletes and artists, and, of course, fathers and mothers to their own children have grown up in SOS families. We have grown up, too, - together with the kids. Our support programmes provide help for children and adults far outside of the villages now.
Today we want to show you the place, where SOS Children’s Villages Latvia started working back in 1997 – SOS Children’s Village Īslīce. We welcome you to virtually explore the village and have a look inside one of the families’ houses.
10 years later, in 2007, the second SOS Children’s Village was opened in Valmiera. We welcome you to go on a virtual tour in Valmiera too.
